David L. Cameron, 79, of West Frankfort passed away on Thursday March 13, 2025 in Integrity Rehab and Nursing Center at 5:03pm.
He was born on January 31, 1946 in Belknap, Illinois to Louis and Mary (Russell) Cameron. He attended the family church, Cedar Hill Chapel in West Frankfort, where he served as song leader from 1980-2014. He was an Air Force Veteran serving with the military police guarding nuclear missiles. He was an avid bowler and sports fan, especially the St. Louis Cardinals. David enjoyed mowing his lawn, fishing and going golfing. He loved his grandchildren and was a coal miner for 40 years.
David was preceded in death by his parents; brother Russell; and sisters Brenda Barnes and Bernita Gore.
