Gerold Leon Garrett, 90, of Benton, Illinois passed away on Saturday March 8, 2025 in Parkway Manor - Marion, Illinois at 1:47pm.
He was born on November 19, 1934 in Franklin County, Illinois to Harold and Mildred Doty. He enjoyed playing poker, going fishing, and was a NASCAR fan.
Gerold was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Ann; sons, Greg and Mark Garrett; and brother-in-law, Carl Lyell.
He is survived by his son, Mickey (Nancy) Garrett; sister, Zelda Lyell; granddaughter, Karee (Shawn) Garrett-Church; two great grandchildren, Garrett and Griffin Church; several nieces and nephews; and the Hogg Family whom he loved.
Per Gerold's wishes there will be no services and cremation rites will be accorded.
