Lucita Miskowsky born on May 22, 1940 passed peacefully February 22, 2025 on their farm in Herrin, Illinois.
Born in Manilla, Philippines to Clarita Fernandez. In 1968 she married Michael Air Force Sergeant Michael Miskowssky and raised 2 children, Federico and Nicholas. A devoted wife, loving mother, and the ultimate grandma. She owned and managed Heartland Pawn, Inc for nearly 30 years in West Frankfort, known to many as "Grandma". She retired to her garden, flowers, and humming birds in 2020. She was a loyal friend to many, and a fierce patriot always quick to voice her opinion, whether you asked for it or not. She always gave selflessly to those in need, and was a solid sounding board for those seeking counsel.
The middle of seven children, she was preceded in death by her mom and dad; brothers Premativo, Ricardo, Guillermo, Virgilio, and Roberto, and her only sister Marie.
She is survived by her husband Michael; sons Federico Fernandez and Nicholas (Rosemary) Hill; grandchildren
