Stanley Metzler, age 56, of West Frankfort, IL passed away at 11:05 p.m. Friday, August 3, 2018 in Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, IN.
He born in Lake Zurich, IL on Friday, June 1, 1962, the son of Herbert and Darleen Metzler.
He was a high school graduate and in earlier years worked for a newspaper in Northern Illinois. He was of the Protestant faith, and while living in West Frankfort he enjoyed attending Trinity United Methodist Church.
He was united in marriage to Laura Anne Cowan on Friday, July 20, 1984, and together they shared over thirty four years of marriage.
He enjoyed the company of his family and many friends and will be missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife, Laura Anne Metzler; daughter, Jessica Lynn Metzler; grandson Michael Louis Metzler; brother, Steven Metzler and his wife, Ginger all of West Frankfort, IL; other extended family; and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Susan Metzler.
