Jamie Lynn Neal, 70, of Benton passed away on Wednesday morning June 19, 2024 at StoneBridge Memory Care in Mt. Vernon.
She was born in Christopher, IL on March 19, 1954 the daughter of James & Pat (Ponsetti) Rea.
She married James E. "Jim" Neal on April 11, 1981.
Jamie was a loving Wife, Mother & Grandmother. Her granddaughters called her "Nona". She was an avid reader and very competitive and loved going to the beach and picking up seashells. Jamie spent 35 years in the Benton School System starting in 1977 and retiring in 2010. She was a special educator and then Principal. Jamie had many friends and was active in several social groups.
